Welcome to your home away from home! Our stylish and centrally-located space is designed with comfort and convenience in mind. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, you'll love our prime location. Our cozy place features all the amenities you need to feel right at home, including a fully equipped kitchen, hotel-quality linens, a spacious living room, and a dedicated work area. We also provide toiletries in case you forgot. We aim to make your stay in Winston-Salem a memorable one!

Good to know

The house consists of two units and was originally constructed in 1930 and benefits from having many large windows thus providing a bright and airy space. The upper unit is leased out to a hair salon and the lower unit is a self contained apartment with separate access. Original hardwoods throughout with updated kitchen and bathroom.

Other Details to Note

We hope to make your stay as nice as possible. To that end starting August 1 we are now providing a bottle of seasonally appropriate wine from the Caviste (local curated wine shop/bar) and a Moravian cookies. This property is located in a popular commercial area within a historical neighborhood. This location provides for amenties (bakery, etc.) right next door and just down the street (restaurants and brewery). Just like any popular commercial district it has lots of activity especially on the weekends. If you are looking for a serene place to stay this would not be your best option. The place is located in the Historic West End area of Winston Salem, just a few blocks of downtown Winston-Salem where you will discover some of the area’s best restaurants and shopping surrounded by historic homes and Hanes Park.

Guest Access

You will have access to the entire lower level. The stairs going up to the main level are walled off at the top. The main level is an appointment only hair salon so please do not disturb that tenant.

Thos was a great space. Clean and njcely decorated bedrooms. It was raining kn our stay, but it was walkable to near by ciffee shop, boutiques, etc. Very safe feeling as well.

This Airbnb is adorable, great layout if you're looking for two bedrooms with some extra spaces as well. Wonderful kitchen and amazing coffee! Nicely furnished, even a desk if you need it (I did), sunny, and lots of amenities.

Had a fantastic stay. Jared was a very responsive and helpful host. Camel City Hideaway was a wonderful, charming space that was immaculately kept and felt very homey. I would absolutely stay here again and can give my highest recommendation for it as well.

We had a wonderful stay at Jared's place. It was in a great location - easy to get to restaurants and to Wake Forest University. His place was clean, bright and matched the description perfectly. He was super communicative leading up to our stay and during our stay. Highly recommend!

Jared’s spot is nice, quaint, and cozy. The water pressure is great, the beds cozy, good coffee, and the ambience exactly as you’d want it (nice view from the living room). The spot is nestled right next to a wonderful bakery and restaurants within walking distance and just a 15 minute walk from downtown Winston-Salem. The complimentary local cookies and bottle of wine was a nice, warm touch. I’d highly recommend!

This was as good of an Airbnb as we have ever stayed in. All the little things you hoped for had been thought of and included. Down to disposable toothbrush, coffee, cream, water, filter soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, blankets, games, books, streaming options, and the list goes on. We were so pleased with our visit and our stay. We would definitely stay in Jared‘s place again.

We had a wonderful stay at Jared’s home. Check in was simple, home was spotless. We enjoyed walking to a delicious bakery/coffee shop in the mornings. We have a daughter at Wake Forest and the location was perfect for going back and forth to the university. We would definitely stay again.

Jared’s place was in a great location in Winston-Salem, with lots of good spots to walk to. The space was clean and very comfortable and Jared provided lots of extra nice touches. He was great with communication and very accommodating with some of our special requests. I would highly recommend his place and hope to be able to go back again sometime.
